lostinspace Junior Member Posts: 4 Joined: 02/26/2004	I have a K7AMA mainboard with a AMD Athlon CPU (A1333AMS3C...etc.) 1999. Socket 462 for AMD K7 processors. What AMD CPU can I upgrade to?

MD - Moderator Deployer of Mjölnir - House Keeping Posts: 11102 Joined: 11/05/2003	Welcome to the forum With the latest bios for your motherboard, whatever revision it is, from ECS' ">http://www.ecsusa.com you could upgrade to an XP2600+ (AXDA2600DKV3C, 2133MHz) version of the Athlon XP... Although it is a lot easier to find a 2400+ (AXDA2400DKV3C, AXDA2400DUV3C, & AXDC2400DKV3C) version of the Athlon XP... You should also make sure you have DDR266 ram or PC133 ram...I am not sure what ram you are currently using on the motherboard..
