Lately I was looking for cheep and very low power system to make file and download server for my home network. AMD Geode NX got my attention and after some research I found out that they are basically undervolted and underclocked AMD Athlon XP-M on Thoroughbred core (correct me if I am wrong).

Wikipedia:
NX 1250@6W: Clock speed: 667 MHz, average power consumption 6 watts, TDP 9 watts (1.0 volts core operating voltage)
NX 1500@6W: Clock speed: 1 GHz, average power consumption 6 watts, TDP 9 watts (1.1 volts core operating voltage)
NX 1750@14W: Clock speed: 1.4 GHz, average power consumption 14 watts, TDP 25 watts (1.25 volts core operating voltage)

I found my old AMD Athlon XP-M 2500 (Barton) that I use to overclock heavy on Abit NF7-S. Then I rebuild my old rig and started testing. Motherboard allow me to set V-core as low as 1,1V, FSB down to 100Mhz an multiplier down to 3x. I set it on 1,1V 133x8 witch I think is similar to NX 1500. I put it trough several Super-Pi runs without errors.

Is Barton configured like that will have similar power consumption and TDP figures as AMD Geode? How can I found that out?

xp-m2500 is usually rated at 45w at stock speed and voltage(133x14, 1.45V I think). The OPN and stepping of the cpu would be needed as there were a few different models.

That's a 1.45V 45w barton xp-m2500 with a decent stepping. I don't know how much the power would be at that speed and voltage. Around 30-35w tdp maybe at a guess. If it spends most of it's time idling maybe 15w or so consumption.
