Hi there, I got at the moment 2 systems: my MSI K4V and a MSI K7T266
and the proc are now: a Athlon XP 2000+ and a Athlon Thunderbird 1,2 ghz.

I'm planning to upgrade my newest system (K4V) with an Athlon XP 2800+ or 3000+.

Anyways then I'm gonna move my 2000+ to my "old" pc the K7T266.
Only the problem is the K7T266 only accepts 0.18u procs and not 0.13u (that is what the msi site says)

So my question is:
How can I determine if my 2000+ is a 0.13u or 0.18u???

I THINK, and someone can back me up on this, that all .13 XP's have a square die and all .18's have a rectangular die. I had a 2200+ that was a .13 and it's was square, the 1700 I have is rectangular, and I know the 2200 was a .13 and the 1700 is a .18.

Also note, the Barton's have a much larger die due to the cache increase.

You should be able to tell by looking at it. However, if you know the exact model number this chart will help you:

I see I got an 0.18 (1,75volt the bios says)

.18 is square. .13 is rectangular. .13 has a black sticker with the OPN. .18 has it written on the core.
