Hi folks -

I'm currently using an Athlon XP 3200+ in a fairly high-end workstation. I haven't kept up on processor technology for some time now but I'm under the impression that using an Athlon XP with the m (mobile) suffix means that more work is accomplished per cpu cycle. Right or wrong? If correct, what 'm' processor would serve to get more done quicker in place of my existing 3200+?

If it matters, I'm using an Asus A7N8X-E mb with 1 gig of Corsair XMS3200LL memory.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

your wrong..

XP-M are only good over ocerclocking as their run on lower vcore... thereby running cooler hence having more overclocking head room..
IPC on the desktop and mobile XPs are the same
