Hi guys,

I was running an AMD 1 ghz processor before my old motherboard died. So I picked up a Chaintech 7VJL5' ">http://www.chaintechusa.com/tw....asp?PSNo=13&PISNo=174

I don't know a whole lot about hardware, and I figured this motherboard would work with my processor, but I can't get it to boot. I contacted support of the company that I bought it from and they tell me that the processor won't work with this motherboard. So I tried throwing in a single Athlon MP 1600 CPU that my friend had sitting around to see if it would work.

I still can't even get a BIOS. I returned the first board that I got cause I thought maybe it was bad, but now I don't even know what to do.

If anybody could help I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I am running:
AMD 1 Ghz CPU or a AMD MP 1600
Chaintech 7VJL5 Motherboard
512 Mushkin PC3200 RAM
Radeon 64mb DDR VIVO

Yea,

I tried that already and it didn't work. I have the system speaker plugged in and it is not giving me any beeps when I turn the machine on. Could this mean that possibly it is booting properly and maybe my video card isn't working with it? I don't really know what else to do. Please help. Thanks.
