I bought an assembled desktop system comprising Gigabyte K8 Triton Motherboard, AMD 64 Athlon Processor(2800+,Socket 754) model,512 MB DDR, 80GB HDD, ATX Cabinet and other necessary things.

Now what i would like to know is:
1. Can I install Solaris OS on this System?? I tried checking the AMD site but it doesnt mention anything about Solaris OS.
2. How would I know whether this hardware is supported or not???
3. Is there ne specific site mentioning these details and other issues if any?

Thanx in advance. If there is any information missing from my side pertaining to the System description pls feel free to ask me.
