Mrs.May is selling them again for $126.00 and 2nd day is free by fedex.
she is the only one that i would trust to buy an OEM 3200+ from now.
i'll see how it turns out on friday, it should deliver by then.

the reason that i don't want to post it is very simple. if i did the post, then if someone buys one and it a bogus cpu they will all just rant about the post. i'll wait until i receive it before i do, so that i can stick it in the motherboard and verify what it is first.
i think that you should understand now.

Then say that, not just some vague thing like, I'll tell you on friday. I can't speak for everyone else, but I know my clairvoyance doesn't work over the 'net.

there are plenty of people building socket A boards that are still looking for an AMD ATHLON XP 3200+ FSB 400.
lots of posts about it on the board here.
and there are a lot of folks that are just getting a faster CPU, UPGRADING FROM A SLOWER ONE.

finally. it is here and the core is a BARTON with the proper L1 and L2 caches.
so if you want to take a chance and get another AMD ATHLON XP 3200+ FSB400, then i just received mine, a geniune one from zzf by the fedex man just a little while ago.
i paid $126.00 and the delivery charge was included second day - free.
no tampering with the pins or any tampering of the top of the CPU such as cutting the bridges with a laser.
it is an:

Hmmm, I wonder if AMD had a lot of good cores in reserve and decided to release more OEM XP3200+ CPUs due to higher demand than expected - and attempt to stamp out these fake CPUs selling for about $130. AMD might as well make a little money out of a solution to get rid of bad feelings over fakes (even though it's not their fault). Hope it works out well, Z!

i'll see what i can do. and have you ever herad of an auto matic update of the ASUS bios at the ASUS support website? i read a post abvout doing that and i never heard of such a thing, so i went to the ASUS site and searched for it and there is no such thing listed, all th eupdating of bios that i can find must be done the lod fashioned way, by downloading the file and the using the floppy of the program you go through thte technique of flashing the BIOS. any feed back here , Bob?? see here. http://forums.amd.com/index.ph...pic=...02entry480802' ">http://forums.amd.com/index.ph...&p=480802entry480802 ..

The board has a feature that checks for updates, from what I've read it's hit or miss, the best way is the old fashioned way...rom or bin file on a disk or bootable cd then flash...
