Hi all.
I'm just wondering about if my temperature is to high for my cpu.
I have a XP2100+ cpu and a zalman cooler.
My cpu is currently overclocked to 2.0Ghz and has an idle temperature of 42C/107F(It has about 37C when running on original speed)(Running BF2 raises the temp about 3-4C). What's the limit of what it can take before it becomes unstable?
Cheers /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Your temperature is fine. You've still got quite a lot of lee-way before you have to bother about the temperature on your processor.

Here' ">http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=16788 and here' ">http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=41525 are a couple of guides on overclocking incase you wanted to read up more before continuing.

If it's stable, then it isn't too hot. But try keep it at a maximum temperature of around 50*C at idle (a little more is fine).

hi your temps are fine last summer my cpu was hitting 60c and that was the lowest warning temp i could select on my motherboard. after upgrading my cooling im now getting temps or 38c idle and about 42c under load, its best to keep them under 50c but they dont tend to crash untill they go over 60c
