hey i was wonderin if any of u know how to get my cpu temp down, i used to have 1 of the old AMD heat snks an fans but i got an ew 1 but still my cpu temp is still at 50-55oC

You could try CPUIdle.. One of my friends swear it's good.
That sounds like a Palomino.. Mine was also 55C on idle.. Just keep an eye on it.. Mine eventually died (this saturday infact ). But don't let that worry you, just because your idle temperature is high doesn't mean it's gonna die out on you it could be due to anything.. I'd just get a little concerned if under load it was hitting 69-70C like mine was .

EDIT: did you try any new thermal paste stuff like Artic Silver? What new fan/hs did you purchase?
