I have a Athlon xp 2100, 2700, 3200 and I am having problems with my monitor. It wont recieve the signal but I know that the motherboard isnt dead because I can hear the hard drive and the cd drive being read. Is there anything thing that I need to change about the hardware. I have 2 ram 256 sticks in and they exceed the processors speed. So whats the problem.

it probably means your display chipset is dead, which means its still your motherboard, unless you have a video card, it will be the video card. most likely its the motherboard problem

Try your computer on another monitor. Try a different GFX card.
