Hi
I have an AMD 2400+ Thoroughbred Socket A. with a Gigabyte GA-7N400-L board. I would like to upgrade to the fastest chip I can. Would someone let me know what is the fastest chip I can get for this board and if it would be worth getting or putting the money towards an AMD 64, which would mean a new motherboard and possibly graphic card. Many thanks.

If you don't mind overclocking and your mobo allows for full multiplier adjustment, find a 35W barton xp-m. They'll do 2.4-2.6GHz easily and without too much voltage.

I had a 2400+, then I upgraded to a 3200+ a year ago, then i realized the error in my ways around april, and now i went 64. spend your money wisely, just get an A64 system, it will come out better in the end
