Hello everyone! I've looked through the forums but can't find what I'm wondering... I have an Asus A7V8X-X Mobo and currently have a AMD Athlon XP 1600 mobile... Ahh... Yes, mobile. It was a gift from a friend... lol

Anyway, I would like to upgrade to a XP 3000+ but can only find "Barton" Cores... So I'm wondering if my Mobo can handle it? What specs I have say Thoroughbread core ready, though I'm not sure about the Barton core. I also take it that I would also need faster memory as I only have 2200 RAM and possibly a new power supply too. Any RAM and PowSup recommendations?

your mobo supports fsb of 333/266/200
so better get the barton..

take care because 3000+ and 3200+ bartons are available as 333 and 400.. so dont get the 400 one..
