I'm usually all right with troubleshooting PC problems, but I am finding no info for my particular issue... maybe someone can help?
I'm running an eMachines T6528 w/ AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2ghz processor
chipset is NVIDIA GeForce 6100 rev. A2
My issue is that the Device Manager is reading the computer as an ACPI (Standard Computer)
The System Properties is reading it as Generic
and CPU-Z is reading the mainboard as "to be filled by OEM"
Under "Other Devices" in Device Manager there is a "PCI Device" with a yellow exclamation. I have no idea what this is. I've come across updating or flashing the BIOS. Is this necessary? If so, I need further info.
This all happened after firewire thingy (I never used it and don't know what it was/is) was removed from my PC (an ex-roommate installed/uninstalled it) I have since reformatted and reinstalled Windows XP sp2.
Let me know if you need any further info. ¡muchos gracias!
