My Athlon 2700 is reading at 1150mhz and I think its my fault because I didnt set the jumpers unfortunately I now have set the jumpers and its still showing my speed at 1150mhz how do I get my computer to reread the processor. This was my first attempt at building a computer so I thought auto meant it would automatically set my processor.

You now need to go into the bios and set the cpu external frequency to 166 to get that processor up to speed 166 X 13 =2167mhz operating freq. Read your m/b manual for the procedure. Some times it will do it automatically and some times not.

If thats the case your multiplier is unlocked and is presenty set at 7
166 X 7 = 1162mhz find the multiplier setting in the bios and select 13.
