I have the Asus A7A266 motherboard and below is a list of the processors it supports.
Listed is the model Athlon XP 2600+(266FSB)(Model 8)(Thoroughbred) however i can't find this model anywhere with a 266FSB only with the 333FSB

is there a 266FSB version of the 2600 model and if there isn't would the 333mhz one work?
also does anyone know if i could go for a higher speed processor than the ones listed?

Thanks

The 2600+ Thoroughbred A is still out there, However it's just become incredibly rare and thus very expensive. As for will the 2600+ Thoroughbred B (333 FSB) Work, the answer is no, your board only supports 200/266 FSB Processors, meaning either you shell out the extra cash and get a overpriced T-bred A for around $160, or you can go with the 2400+ (runs at 2.0 GHz) for around $80 and achieve practically the same performance.
