I have had a few minor computer problems lately, but am slowly working through them. I have the ATI 8500 AIW and have been using it without problems for about a year now. Recently the Video card has pegged the Athlon Chip as not having MMX technology. Is this true? The program says to contact AMD and possibly upgrade the chip...which I do not want to do. Is there a recent Bios/driver that can be updated to the Chip itself? It has never been upgraded since I purchased the chip about a year ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your CPU definitely supports MMX.
You could try updating your BIOS to the latest version and/or reinstall window$ if possible...
If you're using WinXP, you could also try updating your processor-driver via the window$-update site.
