Hi...

I've got this wee problem.. my computer keeps hanging while playing games... like, all the time.. between 30secs and 30 mins (Max Payne 2 -> 30 secs | CS -> 30 mins)
Now I've just installed a new Samsung 160Gb HD that I had to run a "quick Format " on because of the aforementioned crashing. I'm now running the games off of this new HD.
I've replaced my old AMDXP 2000+ with a new AMDXP 2000+. With the old one, in BIOS and in WinXP it actually said the processer type i.e. "AMDXP 2000+", but with this new one, It refuses to budge from "Unknown CPU Type."
Because of an unknown problem, my "NTVDM.exe" doesn't work... It takes my CPU Usage up to 100%. So I can't install new "VIA4in1" Drivers.
This problem is really getting on my nerves... please help..
Below is a system spec of my PC...

160Gb Samsung 7200rpm
80Bg Samsung 7200rpm
VIA VT8366-8233/5 with KT266/333 chipset (Chaintech Apogee 7VJL)
AMD XP 2000+ with voltage at 1.568-1.584 (Box Version)
GeForce 4 Ti 4200 64Mb 4x AGP with Forceware v52.16
CODEGEN 350W Power Supply
1 Extra Cooling fan taking air OUT
and a whole heap o' peripherals...

PS. I haven't overclocked anything on this computer.
