Hi,
I am running the combo below just fine. The CPU runs at 13.5x133 as per spec. Didn't try overclocking yet. The A7V8X (BIOS 1014) recognizes the CPU as an Athlon MP 1800 MHz (probably because the L5.3 bridge is open on the mobile Athlons). Consequently, it reports the CPU as an Athlon MP to the operating system (SuSE Linux 9.1 w/ kernel 2.6.4 and ACPI). No PowerNow features available . Curiously, it did work as a mobile on my old A7V with the latest BIOS (albeit only as FSB100).
Does anyone know if there is a patched BIOS for this board which makes it recognize mobile Athlons?
TIA!

Not likely its not intended for that purpose, probably just one of those things you will have to learn to live with.
