I popped in a XP-M 2600 a few days ago, and today overclocked to 2.4 (200x12). My DIODE temps maxed out at 56C after an hour of Prime 95 torture test (blended). SOCKET temp maxed out at 46C.
DIODE Idles at 48C.
CASE temp is always about 34C
I have a Thermalright SLK900A with a paper thin application of arctic silver paired with a Thermaltake 92mm SPeedfan running at MAX about 3750 RPM.
1. Diode temp is what matters most, right? 2. Does this seem a bit too hot? 3. Is my Albatron KX18DProII mobo reading accurately? 4. Does CPUIdle software really work?
