Hello,
I have an XP 2800+ Barton Core, ASUS A7V8X-X MB, 512 MB DDR RAM.
My CPU temp is extraordinarily high at idle: 56 C.
At 100% it's 62 C.
The weird thing is that my MB temp is quite low. At 100% it barely gets to 37 C, but my CPU stays hot. I don't want to get a new heatsink/fan, because that'll void my warrenty. I tried adding a chassis fan, but it only brought down my MB temp. I added another chassis fan (now one blows air from front, the other sucks from the back), but the CPU temperature is still high. What should I do ?
