Ok. I'm not as computer saavy as all of you I'm sure so bear with me. I got a new xp 2400+ processor and installed it in my computer. it was being recognized as an 1800+. so i read through some of the items on this page and found that I needed to change the fsb pin. so I did. now it reads the 2400+ as a 2400+, but i noticed that the only jumper settings are for 100, 133, and 166. but the processor is 266 and the mother board specifically said that it supported 266. now I have no idea if the two of them need to match for it to work right but if they do, how do i set my motherboard to 266 if it doesn't even have it as an option? this may be a really dumb question, but as i mentioned before, i'm not that computer saavy.

Hi, welcome to forum
To 2400+XP, the BIOS Front Side Bus (FSB) frequency is 133Mhz, the resulting Bus frequency is 266Mhz (2x133Mhz). So, set the FSB to 133Mhz. Everythink is "matched" in your mobo, don't worry

p.s. Refer to here' ">http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showtopic=965 for details
