HELP REQUIRED On switch-on, install CPU (2500+) the Asus A7N8X-E recognised to the CPU as 2500+ clock at 166 MHz. The rest of the bios in AUTO. Unable to load XP pro CPU stalling at different location within the load. Changed to XP home same problem stalling at different locations. Changed the clock to 133 MHz all up and running, BUT as we all know the CPU is seen as a 1900+. Changed the Memory Freq to SPD, AND put to 166MHz but still stalling when running Macromedia XP and Flash (and most important to my son, first person shooters) so back to 133. WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP?? Who can help out there!! I assume your PSU is to fault (probably a generic one), when the processor is set to 166 the PSU probably can't handle it so stability problems occur. My advice is to buy a new PSU (peferably a well known one like Antec), that should stop the stability problems you are currently facing.
