My Pavilion A220N is very slow. As I click on different programs, it lurches or stops and it takes several moments for it to execute. It sounds as if a fan kicks in . Is this common with AMD processors? It is rated at 2.0 Mhz with 512 DDR RAM. I have formerly used Intel pentium and didn't have this problem.. Help!!!!!
WOW.... i always thought even with the multipler @ 1 and the FSB setting to 100FSB the CPU would run @ 100Mhz.. but 2Mhz?... thats some slow computer... lol j.k...
the 2600+ should have a FSB rating of either 1.9Ghz ot 2.06Ghz.. depending on which FSB rating u have..
333FSB rating one (Barton Core) is rated @ 1.9Ghz.. 266FSB rating one (T-Bred Core) is rated @ 2.06Ghz..
and dont think it is common.. shouldnt happen..
but it shouldnt be this slow.. did u try asking Tech Support @ HP ? they might know what the problem is.. since they "ARE" ur system provider...
