I am using the NVIDIA Nforce 2 SPP/IGP ATA controller. When I check it it says ultra DMA 5-ultra 100 on Primary and Secondary say Ultra DMA 2-ultra 33
When I run my Pc tests for my Video card ATI AIW Radeon 9000, it says DMA not enabled on any of my drives!
Also When i try to burn a CD from Nero it changes my write speed from 52X to 16X, because data from source is too slow! I have a 52X writer and CD with a 7200 RPM Western Digital HD
How can I check to see if it is working correctly? The Device manager says so, but I don't think it is.

right click my computer, select computer management then select device manager in the left hand pane. in the right hand pane expand 'IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers'. from here goto the properties of either the primary or secondary channel and then the 'advanced settings' tab.
In the BIOS all are under AUTO. So when running XP it should work fine, correct????
Everything "looks" fine. When I check it, it says ultra DMA 5-ultra 100 on Primary and Secondary say Ultra DMA 2-ultra 33. Select transfer mode shows BIOS default.
Should I change the settings in the BIOS?? not really sure what to change it to. What is optimal for
ABIT NF7-S V2.0 Western Digital 120GB 7200 RPM Samsung 52XCDRW/DVD combo (nero will only let me burn at 16X because speed of source data is to slow) NEC 1300A DVDRW (can only write at 2X instead of 4)
Would the raid controller have anything to do with the errors? I am not using raid I only have 1 hard drive.
