My AMD ATHLON XP 2200+ has the following problem: If it go on standby via the power settings it doesn’t respond to the mouse or keyboard or the wake up button on the keyboard. It has to be reset or powered of/on in order to get it to respond. It seems that the system freezes when it go on standby automatically via the preset power settings. However, if I put it on standby by using the standby mode on the start menu or sleep on the keyboard, it responds to the mouse/keyboard provided not it was not on standby for too long like overnight (it is difficult to pinpoint the exact time).

System is new and doing this from the start. Person who builds it can’t solve either. He built several and none ever did this.

Any suggestions to solve this.
