I'm running a Asus a7n8x-x MB with an athlon 2500+. 256*2 Kingston RAM. its only running at 1.1ghz. Please help. also, RAM is only running single channel mode

Your FSB speed needs to be increased from 100MHz to 166MHz:

166MHz x 11 (fixed) = 1.84GHz/2500+

You may need to do this on your board rather than in your BIOS because board settings always over-ride anything you can alter in the BIOS. The reason it is running slower is as a safety precaution when using new CPU's.

Not sure about your RAM problem at the moment.

It works!!! I tried it on 133 and it didn't work, so I didn't try any higher. Thanks a lot.
