just installed athlon 2700+, checked the temp = temp runs at 72 celius and this is with the supplied fan that came with the processor package, i replaced the supplied fan with a volcano fan with adjustable rpm's, temp now stablized at 52 celius. does the 2700+ simply run hotter? my previous cpu was the 2100+ and the temp on that usually ran at 40 celius. should i be happy with 52 or should i still be concerned. i am kind a newbie at processor stuff and i welcome any advices from more lesarned peoples than me. thanks, michael
my 2700+ is idling at 46C right now...i am about to change that . at load it is 53. I am assuming the 52C is idle? What are your load temps? Also, what is room temp and what kind of case air circulation?
