I have an AMD Athlon 2600MHZ (AXDA2600DKV3D).
One day the PC stop booting and the only way to get a reboot on my PC was to replace my CPU by the same from a friend (who still need it )

My CPU is too old for the guaratee.
Is there a way to repair it myself ?
My CPU look like a new one and doesn't seem to have overheat : no trace.

What can I do with it ?
Is my CPU next place the dustbin ?

As far as repairing goes, there is nothing you can do to repair a cpu. But, before you toss it in the dustbin, have it checked, or check it in another motherboard.
