This problem just occured.
Just noticed that my Athlon XP2600+ is being identified as a Duron.
Nothing has been changed or upgraded between it was identified correct and now.
The mainboard is a MSI KT6 Delta and the BIOS was updated in september 2004.
Everything have been working correct as i say untill i recently noticed that the CPU now showed as a AMD Duron.

What can be the problem?

Check your bios settings and make sure your L2 cache option is enabled in the bios.
