Wildcard Senior Member Posts: 929 Joined: 02/14/2004	You need an Athlon XP - make sure that your motherboards supports the various types of Athlon XP "core" that have SSE: 1) Palomino 2) Thoroughbred "A" 3) Thoroughbred "B" 4) Thornton * The "Morgan" (not "Spitfire") and "Applebred Duron's also have SSE support. brnmcc01 Senior Member Posts: 796 Joined: 08/05/2004	Also, when you do that, you also MUST re-install your OS, as SSE dll's are only loaded when Windows is first installing, and detects whether or not the CPU has SSE support.

Since I made that sig, I have since gotten: Antec True430 PSU 120 Gig SATA Hitachi 'DeathStar' 7K250 Audigy2 sound card New case (c/w 2 120mm fans), New five-button wireless mouse. Next thing: Sony or Plexor dual layer DVD burner, and I'll be all set for now. Well, until dual-core FX comes out, and the 24 pipe NV48/50 core....
