I have a sempron 2800+ and a DFI KT600-AL
The guy at the store said it should work but after consulting the manual it said that the motherboard is compatible with the Athalon and Duron. The guy at the store said that the sempron is just a better version of the duron. In that case it should work, but the computer does not appear to be booting up. It just turns on and does nothing else. Is this s problem with the compatibility or is something just broken?

zman31 you will need the latest BIOS in order for AMD Sempron CPUs to work.

make SURE you get the right bios,
From the dfi web site (The revision of motherboard can be checked from the lower right corner of label affixed on printer port)
Allso DO NOT turn the power off while its bios flashing.
