I am going to buy a s754 system. I want to overclock a bit, (going to buy a sempron 3100+, i think) so i think it's got to be a nForce3 250gb board, but which one? It would be nice if it could do at least 280 MHz...

It has to be pretty cheap...

If you do want to get a Socket 754 based system, then I would strongly suggest that you get a Athlon64 2800+ for the reason being that its quite cheap now and apart from the prices, it would totally outperform the Sempron.

As far as the motherboard goes, get any from ASUS, MSI or DFI. All of them are great and since socket 754 is considered now as the budget line, they would come at pretty cheap prices.

One board that I would strongly suggest is the ASUS K8N-E-Deluxe. Great board with a lot of overclocking poetential.

Okay, i have looked a bit at the A64 2800+ also, but the Semprons are sick overclockers...
But, how is that one (the 2800+) in overclocking?

My personal 2800+ is up and running at 3200+ speeds, at that too on a motherbaord based on the VIA K8T800 chipset.

Even if you do not look into overclocking, there is no need to get a sempron when you can easily get a Athlon64 for just a few more bucks.
