I was wondering can anyone please help me find information on 754 socket /sempron 3000+ processor as i got it bundled with a 760GXK8MB motherboard and am not sure as to what clock frequency speed to set for this processor /blush.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blush.gif' /> , in the bios it was set at its lowest setting of 200 and has a maximum setting of 232,when the machine booted into windows it reported a system speed of 1.6ghz when set at the 200 and 2.08ghz when set to its highest level of 232 would i risk damageing the processor if left the clock speed at the highest setting it seems to run stable on either setting but i dont want to just risk it and end up burning the processor out /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /> also what is the maximum temperature the processor can reach before it croaks as there is an alarm in the bios that can be set and it would be nice to set that as well.

thanks to anyone that can help /cool.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='cool.gif' />

Well, its either this...

Sempron 3000+ 64-bit, socket 754' ">

or this...

Sempron 3000+, 32-bit, Socket 754' ">

The differences are, the 64- bit version has SSE3 support. The 32- bit version has only SSE2 support. Then, or course the 64- bit support for the 64-bit version.

Either way, both of those processors are champs. I am thoroughly impressed with teh Sempron series.

- Buncha HDDs sucking up way too much power

-A lot of other crap that I can't remember.
- Wurd?
