Am a little confused on something. I just bought a Sempron 2500+, installed it, got it running at the right speeds etc etc. well i noticed just today that its not posting as a 2500+, but as a 2800+. Can anyone explain to me what that is all about? My other question is this, when i try to Overclock it past 200 FSB, the system either hangs, or is very unstable, yet from what i have heard, i can safely overclock pretty high on that proccessor. Did i get bad info or something, or am i doing something wrong? Incase u all havent gathered by now, im somewhat new still to the whole OC bit, so if u have any words of advice on what i can do, please share. thanks for the help in advance guys.
Alright, i figured my problem out. I guess when i OC to a certain speed, it will auto bump from a 2500+ description, to the 2800+. Now that that is out of the way, what are good OC settings i can use, that wont hang my system up all the time. As far as i know i have pretty good cooling ( 3 intake fans, 2 exhaust fans in the case ) any ideas?
What are your temps? And what is the speed of your RAM. If you lock up in windows its because of a memory error.
