Hi.

I've recently bought a Gigabyte GA-K8VT800M MB and Semperon 3000+. The RAM is 1Gig of DDR400 It's fast, compared to my old Abit BP6 with two 400MHz Celerons, but not as fast as I expected.

The BIOS clock and voltage setting is set to the Optimum Default, which is 9x multiplier and 200MHz, which gives me 1800MHz. I've tentatively tried upping the clock, but it wouldn't boot and I had to take the battery out (overnight!. I've also looked at Easytune4, but didn't like seeing the digits change to red when I tried upping anything.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to get the max performance. I appreciate I'll probably have to carefully watch the CPU temp!
