I just purchased a Sempron 64 3000+ and im wondering if the 64 bit windows is something i should get. And i heard since i have xp pro i can upgrade at no cost to 64 bit. Is this true?

u can use the xp pro 64 bit since the sempron is 64bit enabled, not sure if ms still doing free upgrades, also harldy any software is being made plus u will have hardly do drivers right now, i would wait to go 64bit os

if the program can take advantage of 64-bit technology.. yes..


and with 64-bit. win XP. you can access more than 4GBs of RAM /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

I hears Windows XP x64 is slower than x32.......thats just wht i heard
