i want to buy a motherboard and a AMD processor could someone tell me plz whats the difference between socket A and socket 754? and what it better to buy?

754 is better, but now 939 is the same price as 754 and is the best. 939 has dual channel ram capability and is what all the new stuff is going to be made for as of now. Socket A is old and is on it's way out.
