Hi,

I am planning to change my processor(Sempron 2400+) as it has some problems and upgrade it with a 64 bit processor. I am not sure wheather the mobo is suitable for that - A7V400MX. Please help me with the right, latest and the best processor for the board, or shall i continue with the 2400+ itself.

Thank you.

You'll need a socket A cpu. Sempron64 are socket 754 which will not fit the board. Are you sure the cpu is the problem here?

Please list your system details, including power supply spec (see psu label)

If you do want to upgrade it, go for a socket A barton core (333fsb). Either an xp barton (model 10), a socket A sempron 3000 (the only socket A sempron with a barton core) or an xp-m barton mobile.
