hi, what is the average vcore voltage for a sempron 2500+? someone told me it should be aroun 1.55-1.56 my v core voltage is 1.61, and the cpu temp stays around 50-55C. i have another computer, sempron 2200+, that has the same vcore voltage(1.61) and the temp is 39-42C. the two pc's got diferent mb, the firs asus A7V400-mx, and the second Gigabite why is the temp so diferent? AMD says that the two cpus got the same thermal disipation value!! they are standard configurations, whit no OC, and the vcore voltage canot be modified from bios, or any other place, far as i know.
Each motherboard read's the temp differently. You can even have two of the same motherboard's, with same processor, and still have them reading differently.
Gigabyte board's are read straight from the CPU thermal diode (the core of the CPU). This reading is going to be higher than the socket reading (which is probably what the ASUS is using). However, this reading the Gigabyte gives out is more accurate. But the 50-55C is nothing to worry about.
Stock vCore for Socket A Sempron's is 1.6v.
