I know that there are an "older" thread about this, but I just wanted to hear if there are somebody here that know more about these new Sempron (Palermo) 2600+ up to Sempron 3100+?

I have researched all I can find out on this from Google and from resellers here in Sweden. For instance there are different spec for Sempron 2600+ around. Some state it will have just 128 kB for cache and other that it will follow the line by 256 kB. Sempron 3000+ seem to have 512 kB cache. For core speed they start from 1833 and up to 2000 Hz.

Secondly I start to worry about that all Athlon 64 will be transformed to Sempron, so Athlon 64 2800+ will be the first to go and so it did for the socket As Athlon XP.

Should I be rushing to buy Athlon 64 2800+ as it still is in the shops or can I wait until I can afford to buy Athlon 64 3400+ instead (in around six month)?

Any suggestion or informatino on this?
