Hello all! A problem occuried in my PC and i formatted my HD. So i installed Windows XP and when i opened the Control Panel/System/Device Manager, i saw that my sound chipset was not installed properly. I´ve tried many drives,including one downloaded by AMD site,but didn´t work at all. I installed SIW diagnostics tools about my mother board, the program told me this:

do u have the driver cd that came with ur mobo? u can find the audio driver on it easily..

unfortunaly, i think i don´t. Is there any place that i can find this drive for my mobo audio chipset? I´ve already tried in Sis site,but the program returns me an error during the installation. What can I do?

Something similar has happened to me before. To fix it, I completley uninstalled the driver and disabled the device from the hardware manager. Then when I restarted windows, it detected new hardware and gave me a choice of where to get the driver from. Then I installed a working driver and it was fixed.

Folks. It didn´t work. I tried all the files to sis 7012 in the link above, but it didn´t work at all. Indeed,i tried to install from the Control Panel and i authorized my computer to link Windows Update Site, to try to find the correct driver, but still nothing. What can i do?

Hiya all, new here so bear with me.
I have the same problem my daughters Tiny AMD Duron AT/AT was reformated to Windows 2000 professional and now there is no music.
"Multimedia Audio Controller is missing / no mixer software available."
Realtek 8201L on the motherboard, and have run Belarc Advisor (shown below) can't work out what drivers to re-install. Haved tried HD Audio from Realtek.
Have downloaded the AMD (AMDdrvpk_130.exe) to run tonight, after uninstalling the mixers drivers.

HELP...all my daughter wants to do is play her music ?
