I have a Sempron 2600+ (SDA2600DUT3D - 333MHz FSB) I just bought ($50! for my A7V600-X board (VIA chipset).
I also have PC3200 (400MHz) in the board.
But when I boot it is showing as an AMD Athlonx Xp 1700+ running at 1467MHz with 133FSB!!
The AMD page at
http://www2.amd.com/us-en/recm...ilHa...l?queryID=87107
shows the A7v600-X as a recommended motherboard for the Sempron 2600+ using the Bios 09/07/2004 or later. I have BIOS Version 1009 from 2005/07/07 on the board, so I'm not sure why it's not being identified properly. So how can I get the full use out of this chip, seeing as how I made sure to check with AMD's recommendation pages it before I went and spent the $$$.?
Are there settings I can punch into the BIOS to force it to use it properly?

Just saw the reply. In the BIOS it was [133/33]. I changed it to [166/33] and it worked! Thanks!
