I am wondering what is the multiplier on the 3100+. Also is it as good for OCing as the 2800+??

Since all K8/9 parts have a 200Mhz base clock, you just need to take the overall clock speed and divide it by the base clock. In this case, it is 1800Mhz/200Mhz=9. So the multiplier is 9.

Don't post more than 1 thread. All you had to do was run CPU-Z and it would tell you everything you wanted to know about your chip. As for OCing, no one knows how your chip will OC until you try it.


EDIT: I already saw where Silk told you the multi, its 9 if you haven't seen it.

My 3100+ has overclocked quite nicely. The E6 cores are typically very excellent for overclocking.

300x9=2.7Ghz, a 50% bonus with just a small increment to vcore. No or lockups or stability issues whatsoever. Been running great for 3+ months now.
