Not really. Both Windows and Linux report the speed of my processor (754 Sempron 2800) at 7-10 Ghz. I am not overclocking at all. Everest shows the fsb fluctuating around 1300 Mhz.
The motherboard is a Biostar T6100, I've tried all of the available versions of the BIOS. I am not using the Overclocking Navigator that is built into this board...in fact, I am running "optimized defaults".
The system seems stable now (I had some ram issues initially). I just got the motherboard, and I'm thinking about rma-ing or returning it.
I've had the proc for a while. It's been sitting in a dead motherbaord for a few months now, but it was a trooper right up to the day that the motherboard died.
Could the problem be the proc?
Is it really a problem? The system hasn't crashed once.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
