One of my close freinds recently bought a new assembled PC. The vendor quoted that its an AMD based dual core processor. When I checked up at his place, the stuff says - "AMD Sempron".
So is the processor same or different?
I am planning to buy a new system with something from AMD, any advise on that notion.

It's too bad that they can't make a socket 754 dual core version of the Sempron. That would be so nice for my gaming purposes. And it's save me the trouble of having to build a whole new system for now.
