zedreds Junior Member Posts: 3 Joined: 12/14/2009	hello. my sempron 3000+ is 1.8 Ghz .. one year before in my computer properties it showed 1.8 Ghz but from last week it shows only 994 Mhz and it runs much slower . . anyone can help me get back my lost Mhz

geezer_wheelz Elite Posts: 1462 Joined: 09/23/2006	Welcome to the forum Chances are the CPU parameters are not set correctly, or else Cool & Quiet is working on your system and when it is not needed the CPU cycles down to save power and lessen noise. Check the BIOS and make sure that the CPU multiplier is set to 8 and the FSB is set to 200mhz. Depending on also your computer model there may or may not be an option in BIOS to disable/enable CnQ. In addition to that, a Power Option switch in OS to activate it. -------------------------

Welshie666 Newbie Posts: 1 Joined: 01/30/2010	I have the problem, MOBO :- Gigabyte K8VT800 CPU :- Amd Sempron 3300+ 2.0 GHZ Windows 7 I use an app called CPU Speed Pro, I ran it 3 times in a matter of 10 minutes and each time the cpu speed was quite conciderably different ramgeing from 1.1 GHZ to 1.6 GHZ. Why ????
