hi folks newbie here, have got an x86-based PC with an amd sempron x86 family 15 model 95 stepping 2 authenticAMD~1808 MHZ running XP PRO with service pack 3 build 2600 everything is working fine except for the sound...it says i have a SONY audio device on High Definition audio bus cannot find drivers anywhere on internet any help would be appreciated

well, need to know the exact brand and model of the motherboard, and if your are using a discrete sound card, you may need to open up the case to have a look at the card, assuming it is a desktop computer, or is it a notebook?

CPU-Z and PCwizard2010 are able to provide some details of the motherboard model.
