Hello there,

I have a Sempron 140 Sargas. I dont want to overclocking, I want to downclocking (lol)

I use it in a htpc which also works as server-downloading device, so I usually dont need much power.

Wattage is only 45W but temp not as low as I thought it would.
I put on a Xigmatek Loki SD963 heatpipe, fanless (no fans exist in the case at all).
Sempron temps are from 64oC to 70oC+... Idle of course. The most I saw so far was 78oC during an antivirous scan.

Specs for Sempron say--> voltages 0,825V - 1.35V
With cool & quiet I see it minimum 1.1V...
How can I get it lower, maybe to 0,82V?

Noster,

BIOS is your best bet to lower overall core voltage, which is where you want to start. Also, you can always drop the multiplier (also in BIOS). A program called CrystalCPUID used to work with the K8's in windows to manage core voltage and multiplier in realtime. I used it to lower the core voltage in my laptop, where I couldn't get to the BIOS. My Turion ML-34 used to boot at 1.35Vcore, which was strange since stock voltage was 1.3V. I lowered all the way down to 1.15V, still at stock 1.8GHz and it was stable. Lowered temps a LOT, and battery life got a modest 45min~1hr boost.

Anyway, I haven't seen a K10 iteration available of CrystalCPUID. As far as Cool-n-Quiet hacking goes, it seems a program called K10stat can help you out in adjusting the values. Tom's Hardware does an excellent job guiding you through how to use the program, testing, and troubleshooting the program. It's a long read, but well worth it.

Good luck!

Yes of course I know that I can downrate the clock through bios, but I dont want something permanent. Just to get low when idle, not when I watch HD movie(like what cool&quiet does).
Can this CrystalCPUID low down to 0,82V (auto OR when I order it) ?

No, cystalCPUID won't work for K10 architecture. You need to mod the cool'n'quiet settings to undervolt automatically.
