My old AMD Sempron LaVie G 2800+ Japanese NEC version recently crashed and I had to install Microsoft XP from scratch. I can't find any of the original driver disks and now the laptop is running incredibly slow on the internet. Does anyone know which drivers I require to get back up and running and if they are available online to download?

Unfortunately, your best option would be to contact the laptop manufacturer to see if they can provide them to you. If not you are going to have to do some searching on Google or some driver site in their archived records. You should always use the drivers from the laptop manufacturer because they are created by/for that manufacturer and are unique to that device.
