Ok,
Power to CPU fan ok
Power to AGP card OK
Power to DVD and HDD OK
Graphics card and ram confirmed working (On this system actually)
No beep codes
When RAM is removed proper beep codes are heard
Confirmed working PCI graphics card used as well
New Case, 400W PSU

Really want to get this working...
Monitor does not detect signal.

Any ideas?

Non compatible DDR?
I have used two different working (in other systems) modules, 512 and 256, different slots, both, etc.

Is there a magic jumper that I have not noticed, or possibly a starting invocation from the school of Divination?

After approx 4 hours I tried "What the F*(*)* He** is the Fu*&%* problem", but this does not seem to have worked either, possibly due to an alignment conflict.

quietly going more mad. must get fresh air, I will check back later.

Help...

For the benefit of others...

The ASROCK MB needs to be patched to at least version 1.7 in order for it to support the 3100.

You see my problem?

Anyone got a spare AMD 64 so's I can patch the BIOS on my MB?

I live in England, near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.
Probably whistling dixie though.

Bye!
